.1 PS CEUs | $20
Presented in English & ASL by Rosemary Bocian
Course Description:
Are you an agency owner? Are you considering forming an agency in the future? Starting and growing an agency is exciting, but without careful planning, each stage of growth can bring new surprises (and stress). This workshop guides interpreting professionals through the journey of agency ownership; from launch, through growth and maintenance, to long-term stability. We’ll touch on what’s happening behind the scenes with the owner’s experience, as well as tax and financial planning considerations for each stage. These insights will help attendees identify where they are in their process, and confidently take next steps to achieve their business goals.
Educational Objectives:
Identify the typical five stages that an interpreting agency goes through — and where you might be right now.
List the five basic elements of a simple business plan
Compare and evaluate different agency entity structures (LLC, S Corp, C Corp,
Partnership)
Identify the three core elements of the agency growth cycle and describe how an agency owner can apply self-compassion and realistic pacing when moving from stage to stage.
